Terra means the Earth, Amsh means the little part of the thing of it means extract of the earth

We make product extracted from the earth to diffuse back to the earth. The fading circle in the logo mobilized the thought of disseminating the same resources back to the earth. Flowers and leaves establish the thought of flora and in fact, symbolize the extracts of earth. Blue and green are iconic colors of nature. Some of the precious stones dated back are blue and the most expensive pigments of nature are also blue. Green is again the most relaxing color and it reason why looking at nature is therapeutic.

The feeling

Terraamsh is derived primarily from the words terra & amsh. Terra means earth and amsh simply means a portion. The word terraamsh is close to my heart because the upper cases M & S scream my parent's name, Madhu & Shela. I went all in for a month with all my heart to get to this exceptional name.

Our idea

Terraamsh is all about taking portions from the earth to make fashion. We make colors out of used flowers from events & templates. Terraamsh believes in making fashion that is able to disintegrate into the earth. We wish to shift the behavior of fashion consumers to become sustainably conscious consumers.

The Teraamsh Story

I was the craziest when pregnant! There was no organic and sustainable maternity wear at that time. The available resources and manipulation in them freaked me out. Therefore, harmonious fashion which is also reciprocal was my idea. We established the brand first in the postmaternity & pre-maternity range while slowly building our expertise in fashion for between 24-40 years.

Teraamsh is about making someone feel better about themselves through fashion. It was about feeling powerful, graceful, and happy. I realized the fashion then was guilt-ridden and conscious stricken. I gobbled upon resources that could be all-inclusive on available unapologetic materials.

The kinds of cotton including organic cotton & kala cotton. Kala Cotton is indigenous to Kachchh and organic as the farmers don't use pesticides. It is one of the genetically pure cotton species remaining in India.

Rooted in nature, crafted with care

Teraamsh is conscious of the Global Organic Textile Standard. Organic cotton is grown using methods that have a low impact on the environment. The GOTS has a clear textile processing standard for organic fibers including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain.

Unapologetic natural dyes and catalogs of colors were explicit in nature to inquest upon. Glorious colors can be produced in the kitchen, from insects, leaves, stalks, flowers, etc. Five hundred species of plants produce indigo blue and bark while fungi can produce brown. Extracts are derivatives of these natural materials and are fine, concentrated powders or liquids.

Colors were a means of social status, but worthy became the synthesized ones. We decided to make colors more than just a source of pleasure to something environmentally valuable. Teraamsh will nudge sustainable behavior and motivate people into making natural dyes worthy of social status.

With more care and intentness, I learned different facets of eco-printing from my Japanese, Indonesian and Russian pals. Went all in and did extensive research. My early focus was only on pre and post-maternity clothing. Pregnancy changes women all at once. Women adapt to pregnancy depending on their context and environment. I wanted to put new mothers at ease with my brand. There was no other way than to don them with the most natural and organic outfits.

Teraamsh has probed into the roots of eco-printing and natural dyeing way too much to help new mothers. Over the years, after a lot of learning and research, we can now vouch for our products' safety and sustainability. We support mother earth by supporting young women who want to embrace motherhood. Overall Teraamsh is about shifting the behavior of customers toward sustainable and conscious purchasing starting with young mothers yielding unanxious ecstasy in the fashion & shopping experience
